IKEA and MUJI frames are engineered to a price point. The surface—typically 18mm particleboard—is where cost gets cut, and it shows within the first year of daily use.
itaru cuts solid wood tops to fit specific IKEA and MUJI models. Customers select a frame and a wood species; a top sized and finished to install arrives in 3–4 weeks. No measuring, no carpentry.
The service runs on Cloudflare Workers with Stripe-integrated checkout and Axiom event tracking. PoC validated. Now measuring PMF through conversion from sample kit request to completed order—the metric that determines whether to scale.
